December Diary 2011 – 1/31
I’m so happy to be a part of this year’s December Diary Project, a tradition of my very sweet flickr friend Cindy/Reflective Kiwi. This year’s theme is music, something so very near and dear to my heart! 
With my scattered brain and eclectic tastes, I know I’ll jump all over the place this month…from sharing some of my current favorite tunes/bands to more obscure songs from around the globe to beloved ones that have been special to me all/most my life, with a few memories mixed in here and there for good measure. So let’s get started!
Though I rarely listen to country music anymore, Willie Nelson’s Blue Skies is the first song I ever recalled as being a favorite, and I remember singing and humming to it as a wee little one. My dad has always been a fan of old country, and there was rarely a time when Roy Rogers, Jim Reeves, Willie, Hank Williams (Sr), or Ray Charles wasn’t being played in the evenings.
