Question by zombie nudity: Has anyone been to the Illinois Blues Festival?
My sister has been having some really rough marital problems so she hasn’t been able to get out of the house much. Her husband can’t say no to me when I want to take her out. So, I really want to get my sister out of the house as much as I can while I’m not in classes over the summer. She is really into blues music but rarely gets to listen to it. So every year there is a blues festival in Peoria and I want to take her to it.

So, what I’m wondering is, in the past, how expensive was it? I’m thinking like what are ticket prices, are booze and food expensive and are there any “hidden” things that you end up really needing to buy? For two people to have a really good time, what’s a ballpark estimate?

Johnny Winter is scheduled to be there, so that alone is worth the ticket price. I’ve never been there as I live in the Chicago area (and we have the Chicago Blues Fest), but it sure looks like a lot of fun. It’s not until September, so save up your money and have a blast.
